More Rockers – You’re Gonna (Make Me) (Roni Size & DJ Krust Remix)

A super cut up amen attack from the Bristol boys remixing some other Bristol boys back in 1995.
More Rockers were formed by one of the members of the influential Smith & Mighty who contributed to the breakbeat hardcore movement of the late 80s. They put out some nice varied releases on their eponymous label, mainly breakbeat but some jungle here and there. Dub Plate Selection Volume 1 was a big mix of dub and jungle flavours and is well worth a listen.

I was going to post the Peter D mix of this tune which I always had a soft spot for but this is the one that usually gets dancefloors going.
Soul fans may well recognise the vocal from the 1979 Jones Girls original which was penned by song writing legends Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff
