Haha, I remember those days at well. One of the rare (good) memories of school I have. Makes me want to grab my old walkman and listen to some sick drum and bass tunes.

haha, I miss that too, going to Camden Music & Video Exchange and spending hours in the basement wading through the most ridiculous crap, trying to find those gems. browsing the daily wantslist email from Discogs isn’t quite the same. 😉

things i miss:
staying in friday nights for one in the jungle

getting up at all hours to switch the sides on the tape recording the essential mix

covering up the labels of promos with white stickers so spotters couldn’t see them when they were peering over the edge of the booth

having to dig in the crates to find tracks rather than just finding them on discogs or ebay

looking forward to hearing new tracks rather than dreading hearing new tracks…

the sense that the music was constantly re-inventing itself
