In reply to Dan. Cheers for your comments Dan. Should Drumtrip Sessions take off I will look to do a part two at some point. There are plenty of other producers and samples to choose from. This one took ages to plan and fit together though!

Great stuff – very creative! If there’s a part 2 you’ll have to include some Lemon D and his rare groove sources. Or Peshay and Debussy on the Nile.

Nothing wrong with good sampling – its the cornerstone of the music. I’d take good samples used well over live musicians trying to be authentic most days.

Sampling injects new life – totally agree there’s an increasingly derivative sound that just wasn’t there in the 90’s when it was all being done for the first time.
