L Double – The Mad Phunk

L Double’s Flex Records was on fire back in ’95, in my mind at least. His tracks from then were perfect examples of  bouncy, steppin’ jungle laced with hip hop samples and booming basslines.

This one, nicking a cheesy as you like vocal from crooners Boyz II Men, has always been a fav of mine. Tucked away on the b-side of Music For The 90s this was still played a fair bit at the time and makes this one killer 12″ if you’re into that sound.

Both tunes take loads of vocals from the G. Simone & KRS One track Music For The 90s (also sampled in P-Funk Era), which isn’t too bad a tune either!
