A couple of mixes here that will give you the full spectrum of maybe the greatest production duo drum and bass has ever seen.
St Alban’s based Source Direct made their debut under the moniker ‘Sounds Of Life’ with their excellent ‘Trust Me EP’ in 1994 on what was already a major jungle [...]

A little 5 minute mega mix I made a few years back featuring plenty of huge jungle tunes from 1993 to 1996.
I cant find a tracklist, but it features Photek, Omni Trio, Bukem, Source Direct, Higher Sense, Digital, Roni Size, Invisible Man, Crystl etc

Right, I know this goes outside the Drumtrip time zone (93-96) but its worth putting on here.
An epic mix from some top mixers (myself included of course) which give you pretty much an all round snapshot of Drum & Bass between 1998 to 2000.

Total Science might not be at the same standard these days, but from 1992 to the turn of the millenium they were (along with Dillinja) the most consistent and productive producers around, and they could easily turn their hand to any style.
Split Personality came out on Timeless in 1996, sounding very much like Source Direct’s [...]

This is one of three dubplates I bought from Phil Aslett about 2 years ago on eBay, surprisingly they had gone unnoticed so I got them for a cheap price.
Anyway, 2 of the 6 tunes on the dubplates were fully unreleased, one was a downtempo thing like Modus Operandi, and one was a jazzy D&B [...]
